Methacton quarterback Brandon Bossard verbally committed to Eastern Michigan.
The 6-3, 204 pounder chose Eastern Michigan over Towson. Boston College, Delaware, Villanova Connecticut and Maryland were just some of the schools that showed interest in Bossard.
“It’s a big weight off my shoulders,” said Bossard in between sessions at the Elite 25 Quarterback Showcase Friday in Lancaster. “Now I can just concentrate on getting our team to the conference championship and the playoffs.”
Methacton finished 6-5 last season, recording its first winning season in over a decade. Bossard hopes for bigger and better things this season.
“Hopefully, we can win the conference and I really want to get to the playoffs.”
Bossard’s decision came down to Eastern Michigan and Towson.
“I really wanted to play Division I-A,” Bossard said. “Plus, with the quarterback situation at Eastern Michigan I think I will have the opportunity to compete for the starting job sooner.”
